OKLAHOMA CITY – The TV show American Ninja Warrior is coming to Oklahoma City this spring and will film on the south plaza of the state Capitol grounds.
The competition’s casting company announced Friday the city will host regional qualifying and finals. A news release from the state Senate listed the dates of the production as May 6-17.
The Legislature is scheduled to be in session until the end of May, but lawmakers are usually not at the Capitol on Friday or the weekend.
American Ninja Warrior is a fitness challenge that airs on NBC during the summer. It is a spinoff from a similar and popular Japanese program. It pits contestants in a race through a multi-stage obstacle course.
