On select Thursdays throughout "Matisse in His Time: Masterworks of Modernism from the Centre Pompidou, Paris," guests are invited to join an OKCMOA staff member for an intimate guided tour of the blockbuster exhibition. Tours will take place from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on July 14, Aug. 4, Aug. 25 and Sept. 8.

"Thursday night tours will be a wonderful way to delve deeper into the lives of the artists and the history of the pieces featured in the exhibition," said Tracy Truels, the Museum's director of learning and engagement. "We've already had record numbers of visitors to this historic exhibition and we're looking forward to offering this additional learning opportunity to our guests."

The tours are $12, which will include admission to Art After 5 and will be bookable online at www.okcmoa.com. These Thursday night special tours are expected to sell out. Reservations are encouraged.

In addition to Thursday night tours, those with groups of 15 or more may book a guided tour throughout the duration of the exhibition. Reservations can be made by calling (405) 278-8213.

OKCMOA has experienced unprecedented demand for "Matisse in His Time" including requests for tours. The exhibition has already brought in more than 10,000 visitors to the Museum from as far away as Hawaii and Massachusetts.

"Matisse in His Time" includes 100 works of art, including more than 50 paintings, sculptures and works on paper by Henri Matisse, as well as masterworks by his contemporaries - Pablo Picasso, Juan Gris, Georges Braque, André Derain, Fernand Léger and Amedeo Modigliani. The exhibition will be on view until Sept. 18, 2016.

Art After 5 is a weekly event on Thursday evenings at the Museum. Through late October, guests can enjoy live music, a full bar, beautiful views and access to OKCMOA's galleries, including "Matisse in His Time," for only $5 after 5 p.m.
