It's time to put on your lederhosen or dirndl in January and head to Oklahoma City! No but really, kick that New Year's diet to the curb and warm up with some beer and brats at OKC's new kid on the block, Fassler Hall. (We did!) This German-inspired beer hall located in OKC's ever-growing Midtown district has all of the traditional items such as bratwurst, schnitzel and Bavarian pretzels to duck fat fries and Brussel sprouts. And when the weather warms up, the expansive patio will play host to the best beer garden around with amazing views of the city.

To start off, it's highly recommended to get the pretzels accompanied with the smoked Gouda cheese sauce. Yum! And as a main course, you really can't go wrong with any of the housemade sausages. We sampled the traditional Bratwurst with the house kraut and mustard, the Cheddarwurst and the Chili-Cheese Frankfurter, all of which satisfied!

And we can't forget about the beer! There is a vast selection of German (and other) beers on tap coming in half or full liter for whichever you prefer. And with tons of bottled beer too, you will definitely find one to your liking.

Thinking a little activity is needed before or after filling up on food and beer? Lucky for you, just head downstairs to Dust Bowl Lanes & Lounge for some retro bowling fun! The 12-lane alley is straight out of the 1970s and offers a full-service bar and VIP room with two or four bowling lanes.

Fassler Hall and Dust Bowl are the perfect places to start or end the night depending on how you look at it. Bis bald!
