JUNK HIPPY ROADSHOW SCHEDULES SECOND SHOW AT HOME IN OKC
The Junk Hippy Roadshow is an eclectic traveling vintage show, making stops all over Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas and surrounding states. This will be their second event held in Oklahoma City!
Junk Hippy features handmade, vintage, repurposed and up cycled items as well as antiques, furniture, vintage jewelry and handmade soaps and bath goods...there will be no wholesale or direct sales or mass produced items. Think Canton, Junk Gypsies, Pinterest, and your favorite flea market all rolled into one event! Junk Hippy is run by Kristen Grandi out of Oklahoma City. It all started with Kristen's vintage furniture business in early 2010, Gypsy Green. After doing several local shows as a vendor, Kristen decided Oklahoma City needed something new and unique. It is very much a family business with a grass roots beginning. This event will feature 100 booths with vendors and artists traveling from all over Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas, and New Mexico. It is important to support your local businesses and artists, and buying vintage and handmade is one way to do this. There has been such a huge response to this event, all 100 booths sold out in four days and now have a waiting list of over 150 vendors!
The event will be held Saturday, December 15th, 9-6 and Sunday, December 16th, 9-5 in the Centennial Building at the OK State Fairgrounds. Admission is $5 at the door, 13 and under are free.
Previous Junk Hippy shows were held this year in Oklahoma City, Amarillo, TX and Dallas/Ft. Worth. Several shows are planned throughout 2013, including Houston, Amarillo, Frisco and Austin TX, as well as Kansas City. Junk Hippy was just approached about doing a show in British Columbia, Canada!
