Testimonials

"The Harley Owners Group brought their 2010 Touring Rally, Motoring the Mother Road to Oklahoma City on September 17 and 18. Riders representing 8 foreign countries and 40 of the United States rolled into the city to explore Route 66 and all of the sites and sounds of Oklahoma City and the surrounding area. We had a wonderful experience working with the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau, several local hotels, Brewer Entertainment and the Coca-Cola Events Center and Harley-Davidson World. We hope to have the opportunity to work with Oklahoma City again in the future."

"OKC is truly ideal with so much meeting space and the arena in such a small space. I don't know any other place that provides that convenience..the support in every need has been phenomenal."

"The one theme that I keep hearing from those that attended our 2009 National Conference here in Oklahoma City was ‘when can we come back'. Oklahoma City allowed us to have a national conference that provided a relaxed schedule which promoted great networking, yet presented a very professional and technologically savvy educational and performance dimension. The city catered to our every need, and our bottom line was enhanced due to the kind economic realities of an affordable city. I have nothing but praise for Oklahoma City as a conference-friendly location."

"Oklahoma City is unbelievably enthusiastic about athletes and athletic events. The city government - from the city manager to the parks department - is overwhelmingly supportive... Furthermore our citizens always go the extra mile...for months after the event we get praises from the participating athletes, many of them competing at many events nationwide"

"Oklahoma City has been the site of the Mountain West Conference Swimming and Diving Championships for the last eleven years and there is a reason the league keeps coming back. The community embraces the event and the student-athletes, coaches and fans all are made to feel welcome. Local hotels and restaurants support the championship and cater to the needs of our teams. Every year I hear several comments about how friendly people are in Oklahoma City!"

"Oklahoma City has been the host city for the Oklahoma Association of Health Care Providers Annual Convention & Trade Show over the past several years. Since our attendee's travel from all over the State of Oklahoma, they look forward to what Oklahoma City has to offer. They enjoy the convenience of lodging within walking distance to our meeting location, the variety of entertainment options, and of course the diversity of restaurants. Overall, Oklahoma City has made a big impact on providing the most convenient and friendly environment for hosting
meetings in the mid-west, or should I say the Wild West."

"When our athletes step off of the plane or jump out of the team van upon arrival in Oklahoma City, they know they have arrived someplace special - they say it all the time, "We can FEEL it!" For races, training camps and coaches' conferences, our paddlers feel the spirit of world class innovation, design, collaboration and a quality of life factor that meshes perfectly with the pursuit of Olympic Gold. At USA Canoe/Kayak, we choose Oklahoma City over and over again for events and meetings that push paddlesports and the Olympic movement forward in ways we simply could not have imagined. That is the Oklahoma City edge - we feel it both on the water and all around this amazing community."

"The Amateur Softball Association/USA Softball has enjoyed tremendous support from Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau since its relocation to Oklahoma in the mid-60's. ASA/USA Softball conducts over thirty events annually at the ASA/USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex including the NCAA Women's College World Series, ISF World Cup, and the Oklahoma State High School Fast and Slow Pitch Finals. The success of these events would not be possible without the support of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma City CVB. We consistently hear from our visitors that Oklahoma City is ‘athlete and fan friendly' with its outstanding facilities and affordable and superior visitor amenities. Oklahoma City is the place to be for athletes and fans."
