    Guys Outing

Guys are notoriously bad at making plans and usually hate asking for advice or directions. So, when it comes to “Guys Night,” having a roadmap curated by a friend who lives in downtown is a godsend for many men. If you’re looking for some of the hottest spots in Oklahoma City for dudes to chill, grab a beer, and have a good time, this list will make you the hero with your buddies.

Lets break down a few options:

    Midtown

Before you meet the guys, swing by TRADE Mens Wears and grab some new kicks or beard oil to keep you looking and feeling fresh. When done, stroll across the street to grab a COOP F5 or any of their other local beers from McNellies with the fellas. Make sure to say hello to Diane, she’s one of the best bartenders in the joint and will remember your name and beer choice next time you’re in. When it’s time for dinner, head around the bend to Fassler Hall for a bratwurst and duck fries…so tasty! Since Dust Bowl is just downstairs, make plans to bowl a few games and show off your Big Lebowski skills. Finish off the night at R&J Lounge. Their Old Fashioned is one of the best in OKC and their vibe is super chill.

    Film Row

If you’re looking for a low-key Guys Night, then Film Row is a great option. Start your night off at Mary Eddy’s in the lobby of the 21C Hotel. Their craft cocktails and attention to detail are incredible. Next head over to Joey’s Pizzeria to fill your belly with a pie and a beer (or two). We recommend the toasted ravioli or buffalo wings to start and The Surfer Dude pizza. When done, mosey a few blocks down to Flashback RetroPub. This 80s-themed arcade bar will let you challenge your buddies to games of Off Road, Street Fighter, TRON, or even a MarioKart competition on their big screen tv. Plus, since they stock a wide variety of local brews, you’re sure to find a tasty beverage you’ll love. End the evening on the patio of Flint and take in the sights and sounds of downtown OKC.

    Plaza District 16:5

    Plaza District

If you and your buddies are looking for a Guys Night full of eating and drinking, the Plaza District is a perfect choice. Grab the fellas and head over to Tree and Leaf to pick up some cool, local swag. Their t-shirts, sunglasses, combs or koozies are all cool scores. Directly across the street you have two killer options. One is The Mule, where you can grab a gourmet grilled cheese and a draft beer. Or you can check our Goro Ramen. Their fried brussels and Anthem beers are delicious offerings sure to satisfy your tastebuds. If you’re thinking pizza, you can’t go wrong with Empire Slice House. Make sure to check out the Foghorn Leghorn or Rocksteady pies and their great selection of Oklahoma beers - including Roughtail’s 12th Round and their Hoptometrist Double IPA. Finish off your Guys Night at night at Oak and Ore. Their 36 beer taps rotate often, so whether you like a saison, pale ale, or stout there’s always something for everyone in your group.

    Farmers Market District

If your group of friends isn’t familiar with the Farmers Market District, they need to be. Start your night off at Anthem Brewery for a few beers in their taproom. Because OKC recently changed their laws, you and your buddies can throw back Anthem’s full strength beer lineup right from the brewery taps. After you’re good and loose, head over to Delmar Gardens, OKC’s newest food truck park. Grab some delicious grub for one of their food trucks then stroll across the street to the Powerhouse Bar. With both patio and inside seating, you and your buddies can enjoy yourselves regardless the weather. Plus, with several live music options and beer specials, the Powerhouse is a great place to end your Guys Night.

    Line 16:5
Regardless of where you go or what you do, Oklahoma City offers a ton of great options for Guys Night. These district suggestions will give your group pre-curated experiences that are sure to please even the most persnickety fellow. Are there other great options along Automobile Alley, Uptown 23rd, Bricktown, or the Paseo? Absolutely! And hopefully, you and your buddies can create your own adventures in the weeks and months to come. For now, take our advice and have a killer time!
