Developed in 1929 as the first shopping district north of downtown, the Paseo Arts District is now home to 17 galleries and more than 60 artists. The curved, two-block street is filled with Spanish revival architecture, not to mention great restaurants, a coffee house, boutiques, gift shops and more.
Eat... classic American fare in the comfortable confines of the Paseo Grill. Located right smack in the middle of the Paseo district, Paseo Grill is an intimate retreat without a hint of stuffiness. If you find yourself here at lunch, we highly recommend the Chicken Pot Pie. At dinnertime, sip on a glass of red wine while devouring the Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast.
Enjoy... art. Everywhere. From public art on the streets to oils and watercolors filling each gallery to the brim, if you're an art lover, this is your place. If you happen to be in the Paseo on the first Friday and Saturday of the month, you can even experience the district's monthly gallery walk.
NW 28th & Walker Ave. to NW 30th St. & Dewey Ave.
Of course, the guide above is just a sampling of what there is to taste, see and do in the district.
