OKLAHOMA CITY (June 1, 2018) ─ It’s summer, and that means it’s time for the American Banjo Museum’s third annual family music celebration, Americana Fest! Scheduled for Saturday, June 23th from 11AM to 5PM in the heart of the Bricktown entertainment district, Americana Fest features great music, kid’s activities and fun for the entire family.

“We’re very excited about this year’s American Fest event,” said Johnny Baier, executive director, American Banjo Museum. “With an amazing musical line-up, fun things for the kids to do, and our new exhibit - Philadelphia’s Mummers – Struttin’ Their Stuff - Americana Fest promises to be a great time for all!”

This year’s event brings an amazing musical line up with Oklahoma’s own Kyle Dillingham and Horseshoe Road and Shelby Eisher and Cimarron Swing. In addition to these Oklahoma favorites, The Side Street Steppers from Tennessee will be joining the rotating roster on the second floor of the Museum, while Bill Bond and Wayne Cantwell will be performing on the first floor of the museum.

Outdoor activities include kid’s arts and crafts, summertime treats, and a children’s stage hosted by News4’s Rise and Shine personality Lucas Ross.

Door prizes will be given away throughout the day with a Deering Goodtime Banjo as the grand prize.

Tickets for Americana Fest – which include museum admission, shows and refreshments - are just $10 for adults, children 15 and younger are free with a paid adult.
