The Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently received two prestigious awards from the convention and meeting planner industry.
Successful Meetings magazine recognized the CVB as a 2011 Pinnacle Award winner, and Association Conventions & Facilities magazine selected the CVB as a Distinctive Achievement Award winner.
"We are honored to be recognized by the readers of two prominent meeting planner publications," said Mike Carrier, president of the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau. "These awards highlight the outstanding work of the Oklahoma City tourism community in promoting Oklahoma City as a first-class meeting destination."
The CVB was selected as a Pinnacle Award recipient by the readers of Successful Meetings based upon their experiences while attending meetings and conventions held in Oklahoma City. The CVB is a three-time Pinnacle Award winner.
The CVB earned the Distinctive Achievement Award for meeting and exceeding the high standards association meeting planners look for in meeting destinations, as voted upon by the readers of Association Conventions & Facilities magazine.
