Deluxe Winter Market Returns to Oklahoma City for its Tenth Year

Artist marketplace opens for one day event in Downtown OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Deluxe Winter Market, an annual marketplace featuring handmade gifts and wares from mostly Oklahoma-based makers and artists, returns for its tenth year. Deluxe Winter Market is a one-day only event, Saturday, November 25, 2017, held inside Leadership Square in downtown Oklahoma City.

The event will feature gifts for everyone on your list, all handmade by local and national artists and makers in what has become an Oklahoma City holiday shopping tradition. The Market stands out from the other holiday shopping experiences in OKC because of the opportunity to connect with makers, as well as find unique items, such as a photo studio offering authentic ambrotype and tintype photos. No resellers are allowed, and all items are handcrafted or artist-made.

“The Deluxe Winter Market offers more than 60 artists to shop from, free admission, and a family-friendly atmosphere.” says Deluxe co-founder and director, Sara Cowan. “All of our items are handmade or artist made. The people that you meet selling the items are the ones who created them.”

All ages are welcome at Deluxe Winter Market. This year the Market will once again feature the Elf Market, where children under 14 can shop independently or with volunteer assistants, with all items in the market priced under $10. All proceeds from the Elf Market will be donated to Curbside Chronicle. Elf Market celebrity shopping guides this year include KFOR anchor Lance West and Chris Wiser of the SugarFree Allstars, with more to come.

In addition to the Elf Market there will also be a raffle for higher-value items, with the proceeds also going to benefit the Curbside Chronicle.

Deluxe Winter Market is produced with support from Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, and helps kick off Downtown in December, which features festivities and experiences available in downtown Oklahoma City over the holiday season.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and admission is always free. In addition to the artist-made crafts on display, food trucks as well as onsite businesses such as Old School Bagel will be open during the event.
