OKLAHOMA CITY - Downtown Oklahoma City Inc. has entered into an agreement with the Bricktown Association and will take over managerial operations of the district.
Per the agreement, Downtown Oklahoma City will work with the district on accounting, fundraising, event planning, marketing and communications, management and additional street-level services not already included in the Business Improvement District contract that it manages on behalf of the city of Oklahoma City.
Previously, businesses in the district paid a fee to the Bricktown Association and their BID fee. However, they will no longer pay the fee to the association since Downtown OKC has taken over managerial operations.
The change in operations comes with a new position at Downtown OKC. Mallory O'Neill has been hired as Bricktown district manager. She will have an office in Bricktown and serve as the liaison between the businesses and Downtown OKC.
