When Mary Eddy's Kitchen + Lounge opens at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the new 21c Museum Hotel, chef Jason Campbell will be released from a year outside his comfort zone and be back to doing what he loves most: cooking.

But if it wasn't for his love of classic cars, he might never have made the move from the company's Cincinnati property, Metropole.

"I'm a muscle car guy," Campbell said. "I have a '66 Dodge Charger, so the fact that this place was a Model-T factory kinda sold me."

Mary Eddy's, named for the wife of the late Fred Jones, may reside in the hotel, but the chef's goal is to be a part of the Oklahoma City dining community and an ambassador for downtown's burgeoning west side.
