OKLAHOMA CITY (January 3, 2018) ─ The American Banjo Museum will take on the air of Bourbon Street and the spirit of a second line parade when it hosts its third annual Krewe de Banjo Mardi Gras party on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 6PM – 9PM.
As live jazz provided by legendary Shelby Eicher leading an all-star band sets the mood, that evening the museum - located at 9 E. Sheridan in Oklahoma City - will burst to life with the sights and sounds of an evening at the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
“Each year we look forward to this amazing event,” said Johnny Baier, executive director, American Banjo Museum. “With great food, fantastic jazz music, and people having a wonderful time, it will be like a little piece of the French Quarter right here in Oklahoma City.”
In addition to great jazz music, guests will enjoy New Orleans cuisine including jambalaya, red beans & rice, crabmeat mac & cheese, rosemary bread, and doberge cake. The evening festivities will also include a cash bar, wine pull and other Mardi Gras treats.
Prior to the nightime festivities, the Shelby Eicher Jazz Band will also perform a mini-concert for daytime museum goers from 3PM – 4PM.
