The Classen Curve and Nichols Hills Plaza shopping centers are adding new tenants to their mix.

With the new shops, the Classen Curve will be completely leased but for two small storefronts totaling about 2,500 square feet, said David Allsbrook, general manager of Classen Curve, The Triangle @ Classen Curve and Nichols Hills Plaza.

Allsbrook believes the new tenants will fit well into the shopping centers' existing mix of restaurants and shops.

“We believe that a mix of national local and regional retailers and other usages such as fitness and dining options are extremely valuable to each of our centers,” Allsbrook said.

Tulsa-based accessories retailer Rustic Cuff will open a store in Classen Curve, along with a location it plans to open in Spring Creek Village in Edmond.

Classen Curve also will welcome Oklahoma's first Lily Rain boutique. The clothing and lifestyle chain is based in Houston.

CycleBar, an indoor cycling studio, also will open a new location in Classen Curve.

Nichols Hills Plaza will soon welcome the fitness chain Pure Barre, as well as Trader Joe's.

The former Coach House restaurant, which closed in February, will remodel and reopen as its new concept, The Hutch on Avondale. The restaurant will specialize in modern American Cuisine and will feature a larger bar, completely renovated interior and a separate chef's bar with a kitchen view.

Pure Barre, opening near POPS and Provision Kitchen, is the largest barre exercise franchise in North America with more than 400 studios.

The demographics of Nichols Hills Plaza appealed to Pure Barre franchisee Maddie Alego, she said. “It was the only location I even considered because of some of the similar restaurants and stores and the clientele that is already being drawn to Nichols Hills Plaza,” she said.

Purre Barre also is opening a location in Edmond under another franchisee late this year near Uptown Grocery at Covell and Kelley.

A much anticipated Trader Joe's supermarket also is expected to open at Nichols Hills Plaza later this year. Trader Joe's has yet to announce a firm opening date, but shopping center management said they expect Trader Joe's to open in September.
