“They just don’t make things like they used to” may sound cliché, but there’s some truth behind it. That’s why people are turning to antique malls and vintage markets to fill their houses. Oklahoma City has quite a few stores that specialize in antiques, collectibles and vintage items. Here are a few of our favorites.

23rd Street Antique Mall

This antique mall on 23rd street has 11,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles sold by some of the finest vendors in Oklahoma. Owners Bill and Denny McConnell opened their store in 1989, so the 23rd Street Antique Mall is somewhat of an institution in OKC. As one of Oklahoma’s premiere antique stores, it has won awards from the Oklahoman, the Oklahoma Gazette and Oklahoma Magazine.

Dead People’s Stuff: Architectural Antiques and Design

The name of this store is definitely an attention-grabber. Owners Curran and Marymar Fudge opened DPS in 2019. They source antiques and architectural pieces from around the world and sell them at their store on Linwood Boulevard and on their robust website. What makes their store unique is their large inventory of vintage hardware, lighting fixtures, stained glass, doors and architectural pieces you can't find anywhere else. If you are remodeling and want an “old world” feel, check out Dead People's Stuff.

Decades Revisited, A Vintage Mall

You won’t leave this vintage mall empty-handed. Decades Revisited, on NW 39th Street, has vintage items, retro furniture, mid-century modern pieces, repurposed vintage and everything in between. Take a stroll through dozens of booths from over 20 vendors, and you will find something eclectic you love. In May of this year, they nearly doubled in size. So it's worth checking out if you haven't recently.

Antique Avenue

Drive north on Western Avenue. When you see a massive rooster on the side of the road, you know you’ve found Antique Avenue. Matthew Parsons and Erin Stephens are both dealers in the store and co-owners. There are over a dozen other antique dealers, so their variety of selection is wide. Each dealer is highly knowledgeable about antiques and are quick to answer questions and offer advice.

Mockingbird Manor

Recently relocated to Wilshire Boulevard is Mockingbird Manor. This home décor store is an even mix of vintage and new furnishings, along with candles, clothes and knickknacks. Mockingbird Manor used to be a home and it was renovated to house 31 vendors in every nook and cranny.
