Winter weather means something entirely different when you have children. The dream of cuddling up to a fire with a mug of hot cocoa is dashed when your kids are exploding with energy because of blustery winds and frigid temperatures. Have no fear! We've rounded up a list of indoor places to wear them out. Here are some of our favorite indoor play places in the Oklahoma City metro.

Science Museum Oklahoma: This museum has something for everyone in the family including active and engaging areas throughout the museum where even mom and dad can play.

Main Event: Whether the kids are bowling a strike, scaling the ropes course or gaming, they are sure to find some way to burn off that extra energy at Main Event.

Skate Galaxy: This skating rink makes skating even more fun with regular activities and games like limbo, glow skating and free lessons on Saturdays.

Jump!Zone: This facility boasts the largest indoor inflatable play space in the metro.

Tot Town: This new venue features an indoor play space specifically designed for kids ages 0-6 years old with both imaginative and active play.

Quail Springs Mall: If you're seeking a good old-fashioned playground sheltered from the outdoor elements, visit the lower level in front of Dillard's in Quail Springs Mall for a play pit-stop for your little ones.

AMC Classic Northpark 7: Everyone loves a trip to the movie theater but taking the whole family out all winter could get pricey. AMC Classic Northpark 7 in Northpark Mall features movies for just $2 with $1 showings each Tuesday. Concessions are reasonably priced, too.

Penn Square Mall: Located on the lower level outside JC Penney, this engaging space for kids includes a slide, over-sized blocks and interactive activities designed especially for children under 42".

Bouncin Craze II: Why reserve bounce houses for festivals and birthday parties? This family-fun destination is packed wall-to-wall with inflatable play structures to ensure they blow off plenty of steam.

Dynamo Gymnastics’ Playzone: This three-story high obstacle course is a fun, safe and physically challenging for the whole family. There's even a separate toddler area designed just for the little ones and tubes big enough for parents to play in with their kids.
