It's October in OKC which means the leaves will start to turn a beautiful orange and red, the weather may get a little more of a brisk welcomed wind and fall festivities start to kick off around the city.  Now you may make your usual neighborhood trick-or-treating plans or even plan to carve some pumpkins but one outing you should add to your itinerary is taking a trip just 20 minutes south of downtown OKC to Orr Family Farm for their fall festivities.

This farm is like no's a child's dream as they get to experience everything from hayrides, a pumpkin patch, where each kid takes home a pumpkin, and even a giant corn maze.  But, there's even more adventures to experience at the farm such as the animal barn, panning for gems, riding a restored vintage 1974 carousel, pony rides, getting your energy out on the jumping pillows, a zip line and an extra large game of chess and checkers in the Farm Fun Yard.  Plus, they have the coolest train that holds 100 children and adults which makes a 25-minute, one mile trip around the farm.

New to the Farm this fall, the Zombie Apocalypse paintball attraction lets visitors eight years old and up brave the challenge to fight the undead; it's a great experience to shoot and not get shot. The paintballs glow in the dark so you'll have no doubt when you've attacked the zombies.  This attraction starts at 8pm Friday's and Saturday's  through November 15.  Also, you can test out your Cannon Blaster skills as you shoot pumpkins out of a cannon and hit targets in front of you- a lot like the TV show "Punpkin Chunkin."  Speaking of pumpkins, save your appetite because they have wonderful Fudge in the Train Station and a restaurant on site to feed everyone who visits.

About the Farm:
Open since 2003, the Orr family has been putting smiles on faces young and old offering a variety of rides, activities, educational opportunities, parties and events.  The barn doors are open March through June and again mid-September through mid-November.
If you've been to the Orr Family Farm prior to Spring 2013, it's a whole new place that you need to experience.  Since the tornado in May 2013, the Orr's have rebuilt the farm and all of its majesty.  It's a child's dream!
