Our “Five to Try” this round is all about places where you can eat, play and have fun, all in one spot. All five options are great for a day with the family, a night with friends or a date with that special someone. Here’s the list:
Main Event’s tagline is “Eat. Bowl. Play.,” which makes it perfect for our list. Located on the northwest side of town, it features state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, high ropes adventure courses, game rooms packed with the latest video and amusement games, multiple billiards tables, plus a full bar and high-quality restaurants. You can see why it would be a great option for fun, with or without kiddos.
Okay, so Pole Position doesn’t have the same level of food offerings as the others on the list (think cotton candy), but this high-performance indoor kart track is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of the largest indoor tracks in the world and features two different types of karts: Adults (speed up to 40mph) and Kids (approximately 15mph). There’s also video games, pool tables and air hockey to keep you entertained between races. And with plenty of great dining options nearby, a full meal isn’t far away.
Whether you hit the links regularly or have never hit a golf ball in your life, TopGolf is fun for all skill levels. Located near MainEvent on the northwest side of town, there’s three floors of golf bays, as well as some seriously good food and a full-service bar. And with food and beverage service while you play, you can keep the fun going while you stuff your face.
Dave & Buster’s
Located near I-44 off Northwest Expressway, Dave & Buster’s packs in lots of games, with everything from classic favorites like Skee-Ball to the latest-and-greatest video games. There are also plenty of food and drink options at their restaurant and full bar. And if you’re looking for a place to catch a Thunder game, there are plenty of HDTV’s around the bar to keep up with whatever pro or college game interests you.
Brickopolis has three stories of family fun, right in the heart of the Bricktown Entertainment District. Located just west of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark between Mickey Mantle Dr. and the Bricktown Canal, Brickopolis has laser tag, arcade games for all ages, a laser maze and a miniature golf course across the canal. There’s also a pizza and salad bar buffet on the canal level and the Brickopolis Bar & Grill on the street level.
And there you have five great options for fun and food in OKC. Enjoy!
