Celebrate the Fourth of July - OKC style. We've got a weekend full of patriotic events to keep every member of the family happy! To start, here are the firework-filled events:
Red, White & Boom
Happening a day early, July 3, Red, White & Boom is a free concert and fireworks show at State Fair Park. It's the perfect start to Fourth of July weekend and great for the entire family!
Bricktown 4th Fest
Head out to Bricktown on the Fourth of July for an evening of live music and fireworks. The music takes place on the Chevy Stage at the corner of Sheridan Ave. and Oklahoma Ave. beginning at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Fireworks at Frontier City
Enjoy a day at the park filled with rides, live shows and the Wild West Water Works and then an old time fireworks show at dusk to top it all off!
Spend the evening at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark cheering on the Oklahoma City Redhawks as they take on the Iowa Cubs. Then stay after for a spectacular post-game fireworks show!
And if the fireworks don't strike your fancy or you want to fit more into your Fourth of July weekend, here are additional events that are perfect for before or after the fireworks displays:
Paseo Arts District First Friday Gallery Walk
Friday night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., walk the Paseo Arts District and take in all the local art, culture and food. (You can even come back Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. if you didn't get your fill the night before!)
Lower Bricktown Live
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and gather in Lower Bricktown Plaza to enjoy the music of Equilibrium.
Samantha Crain at the Great Lawn Band Shell
Relish in the Myriad Gardens on July 4 for a festive atmosphere filled with music by Samantha Crain, food trucks and local beer from Coop Ale Works.
And side note... red, white and blue themed clothing is encouraged at all Fourth of July activities. We'll see you around town!
