Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day is just over two weeks away and Oklahoma City isn’t lacking on ways to swoon your sweetie. From hotel stays, day-trip getaways and some of the most divine food, there’s plenty of ways to celebrate love this month.
Here are date night ideas to show those you love a perfect night out on the town:
OKC offers up some really romantic hotels from the Skirvin Hilton or Colcord Hotel in Downtown OKC to the Ambassador Hotel in Midtown. All are surrounded by amazing food, views and offer the perfect setting for romance in some of the best parts of OKC!
Looking to whisk your one and only away for a day?
Take a trip inside the Myriad Botanical Gardens Tropical Conservatory and take in the sights of the beautiful plants and waterfalls. At night, the tube is lit up and makes for perfect pictures and proposals. The day before Valentine's the Myriad Gardens will showcase their Love and Orchids event featuring champagne and live music while strolling through the Crystal Bridge gazing at more than 1,000 individual orchids.
Does the one you love enjoy musicals? The Civic Center Music Hall is featuring several great shows around Valentine’s Day. Kinky Boots, Avenue Q and A Midsummer Night’s Dream are perfect for a night on the town. Grab dinner next door at OKC Museum of Art Museum Café. Dine on their Valentine’s menu made just for two lovebirds wanting great food and good views of the city.
Love adventure? Tee up at TopGolf! The first 50 people in for brunch at 11am and dinner at 6pm will get a gift bag filled with lovey goodies plus you have a chance to win a free bay with their “Bay for Your Bae” promotion.
Dinner is usually a must for most when Valentine’s Day approaches. Here’s a list of some (not all) of the most romantic restaurants OKC has to offer:
Hefner Grill: With a view of Lake Hefner during a sunset, it’s almost like the food is the second reason why you’d dine there. But, they offer some of the best Pecan Crusted Trout, Seafood Enchiladas and a drink menu that you can’t beat.
Paseo Grill: Nestled in the Paseo Arts District, the Paseo Grill offers an elegant atmosphere with tucked-away booths and curtains that close---what’s more romantic than that? The food is phenomenal and desert can’t be skipped.
Red Prime: Red Prime’s upscale, trendy atmosphere paired with some of the best steaks around make it the perfect date-night location. Reserve ultra-private booths that are enclosed for that extra touch of romance.
Vast: It’s hard to beat the view 49 floors up at the Devon Tower at Vast. The setting is perfect for a romantic night out looking down on Oklahoma City and the menu paired with cool cocktails making it the perfect date night.
