The 2017 NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Oklahoma City Regional field was announced Monday night along with the rest of the NCAA tournament bracket, with the nation’s number five-ranked Baylor Lady Bears earning the No. 1-seed in the region.

Joining Baylor in the Oklahoma City portion of the bracket are Mississippi St., Washington, Louisville, Tennessee, Oklahoma, DePaul, LSU, California, Northern Iowa, Gonzaga, Dayton, Chattanooga, Montana St., Troy and Texas Southern, seeded 2-16 respectively.

Five teams in the Oklahoma City Regional are ranked in the latest A.P. poll, including No. 5 Baylor, No. 7 Mississippi St, No. 12 Washington, No. 19 DePaul and No. 23 Oklahoma.

“We are excited to host such a competitive and diverse group in our region,” Oklahoma City All-Sports Executive Director, Tim Brassfield said. “Having two of the top seven teams in country with Baylor and Mississippi St. makes for a strong region. And with the addition of Oklahoma as a 6-seed, it allows the Sooners to potentially play their way to OKC. We can’t for the Oklahoma City Regional to get underway.”

Each team must win their first two-games to advance to the Oklahoma City Regional, held March 24 & 26 at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Four teams will advance to the regional semifinals, set for 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on March 24, with the winners squaring off in the regional final at 6:30 p.m. March 26.

All-session tickets to the Oklahoma City Regional are available at www.okcallsports.org/ncaawbb or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. Fans can also purchase tickets at the Chesapeake Energy Arena box office, open daily at 10 a.m. All-session side-court tickets are available for $44 with end-court tickets available for $32. Single-session are also available and priced at $24 and $18, respectively.

The 2017 tournament marks the fifth-time Oklahoma City has hosted an NCAA women’s basketball championship regional, as the city also served as a host in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2015. The Oklahoma City Regional will be co-hosted by Oklahoma City All Sports Association and the University of Oklahoma
