The deadCENTER Film Festival, hailed as one of the Top 20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine, is an annual independent film showcase that highlights over 100 indie films from across the country.
The name "deadCENTER" refers to Oklahoma City, the "dead center" of the United States, and the "dead center" of the downtown Oklahoma City metro area, where the festival is held. Come celebrate the art of independent film with screenings, panels, workshops and numerous parties planned over five full days in downtown Oklahoma City.
Celebrate the 20 Anniversary of deadCenter with the following events:
Oct. 25: Virtual reality cinema at Science Museum of Oklahoma, 2020 Remington Place.
Nov. 9: Animation and CGI workshop at Oklahoma City University, 2501 N Blackwelder Ave.
Jan. 12: “Best of Okie Shorts” screening at Rodeo Cinema, 2221 Exchange Ave.
Jan. 31: Glitter Ball Winter Formal.
Feb. 9: “Best of Cutting-Edge Shorts” at Tower Theatre, 425 NW 23.
April 4: Adult filmmaker boot camp at the new Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center, NW 11 and Broadway.
April 22: 2020 Filmmaker Celebration at The Paramount OKC, 701 W Sheridan.
May 8: deadCenter Live at the Plaza in the Plaza District, 1700 block of NW 16, between Indiana and Blackwelder.
May 16: Kick-off gala at Tower Theatre.
June 11-14: 20th Annual deadCenter Film Festival, downtown Oklahoma City
