Arabian Horse TAIL Tours
The Youth National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show will be returning to Oklahoma City for its 25th Anniversary. From July 22-29, 2017, join the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) at State Fair Park, where the Total Arabian Interaction and Learning (T.A.I.L) program for new-comers to learn more about the horses exhibiting at the show is offered.
The T.A.I.L program gives adults and children of all ages the opportunity to learn more about the Arabian breed from educated volunteers. The tour will aim to encourage people to enjoy the breed and create a welcoming experience at the show.
By participating in the T.A.I.L. Program, participants will first be greeted by a friendly T.A.I.L. Guide. Then, participants will receive a “T.A.I.L.” bag filled with information about T.A.I.L. and Arabian horses. The bags will also include coloring pages, parts of the horse sheets, and various other educational material. Everyone will have a chance to watch the show, see the behind the scenes action at friendly barns, and even get to meet a friendly Arabian horse or two!
Tours at Youth Nationals will be available on Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23 at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.; Wednesday, July 26 at 10 a.m.; Thursday, July 27 at 3 p.m.; and Friday, July 28 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Contact AHA by sending an email to email@example.com, or by calling 303-597-8251 to schedule a day and time to join a tour.
Also new this year, come out for the ‘National Meet a Horse Day’! National Meet a Horse Day is a movement across the country to inspire individuals in the horse industry to share their passion for horses with the public. AHA will be doing a free giveaway during the T.A.I.L. tours on Saturday, July 22 in honor of the day.
T.A.I.L. is designed to introduce new-comers to the Arabian horse in a comfortable and backstage setting. OKC families, youth groups, 4-H & FFA groups, Girl/Boy Scouts, and day campers are welcome to contact AHA to make a reservation for a T.A.I.L .tour at the 2017 Youth Nationals.
