    After a riding accident leaves a young cowboy unable to compete on the rodeo circuit, he undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine his idea of what it means to be a man in the heartland of America. Written, produced and directed by Chloe Zhao, this contemporary Western drama, set on a South Dakota reservation, was called “cinematic poetry” by film critic Roger Ebert. Introduced by Tracy Floreani, Professor of English and Director of the Center for Interpersonal Studies through Film & Literature at Oklahoma City University, which graciously sponsored the screening.
