Krewe de Banjo Mardi Gras
The American Banjo Museum will host the sights and sounds of Bourbon Street and the spirit of a second line parade when it hosts its fourth annual Krewe de Banjo Mardi Gras party on Saturday, March 2nd, 2018 from 6PM – 9PM.
As live jazz provided by American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame banjoist, Debbie Schreyer and her Dixieland Pick-Up Band sets the mood, that evening the museum - located at 9 E. Sheridan in Oklahoma City - will burst to life with sensation of an evening at the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
“Each year we look forward to this amazing event,” said Johnny Baier, executive director, American Banjo Museum. “With great food, fantastic jazz music, and people having a wonderful time, it will be like a little piece of the French Quarter right here in Oklahoma City.”
In addition to great jazz music, guests will enjoy New Orleans cuisine including Cajun chicken sliders, lobster bisque, red beans & rice, Creole pulled pork & pineapple skewers and pecan-praline cheesecake. The evening festivities will also include a cash bar, wine pull and other Mardi Gras treats.
