    WILD NOISE: Samantha Crain

    WILD NOISE: Samantha Crain

WILD NOISE presented by Bob Moore Subaru is the Oklahoma City Zoo's new series of 21 and up events taking place every Friday in May at the picnic grounds overlooking Zoo Lake.

Join us May 25th for craft drinks and good eats with music by Samantha Crain. Gates open at 5:30 PM and festivities conclude at 8:30 PM. Tickets include entry and two free drinks!

All net proceeds benefit the Oklahoma City Zoo's conservation partners, both local and global. Learn more about the Zoo's conservation efforts here.

This closing event in the Zoo's Wild Noise series will feature Oklahoman musician Samantha Crain. Samantha was raised in rural Shawnee, Oklahoma, a town whose remote location influenced her quirky, earthy interpretation of folk music. Although inspired by the sounds of her father's music collection, including Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead, an adolescent Crain took even greater solace in the music of her home state, from the rootsy Americana of Woody Guthrie to the sonic experiments of the Flaming Lips. Ramseur Records took note of Crain's work schedule, which saw her crisscrossing the country with guitar in tow, and ultimately offered her a spot on the label.
