OKC Arts Council's Opening Night
Since 1987, Opening Night has been the place for families and friends to enjoy the performing arts and “open” the New Year in the spirit of community. On December 31, 2019, downtown Oklahoma City will be the setting for a variety of entertainment, food trucks, family activities and more. The day begins with a festive 5K and all the excitement concludes with a fireworks extravaganza at midnight to ring in 2020.
End 2019 on the right foot with Opening Night's annual Finale 5K. The race begins at 3 p.m. at Bicentennial Park and leaves plenty of time to enjoy the nighttime festivities. Festive race gear: optional.
From 7 to 9 p.m., enjoy performances through OKC's Arts District ranging from music to comedy to magic shows. Wristbands are required for all indoor locations and can be purchased at Oklahoma City 7-Eleven locations or online.
