Each year, thousands make their way to Oklahoma City for annual celebrations of OKC's LGBTQ+ community in June. During Pride Month, OKC's calendar is packed with exciting, artistic and celebratory events, like PrideFest and Pride on 39th.
Oklahoma PrideFest, happening June 27-29 this year, is quickly becoming a signature event in OKC. Held at Scissortail Park, PrideFest provides a platform for LGBTQ+ individuals to connect, celebrate and be visible in the Oklahoma City community. In 2023, PrideFest attracted a record-breaking 45,000 visits, both locally and regionally. The event featured an incredible lineup of local, national and international entertainers, drawing visitors from all over the state to come together in a safe and inclusive environment, solidifying OKC as a city open to all.
Pride on 39th Street, one of OKC’s biggest Pride events, began in 1988. In 2004, they became a non-profit organization known as OKC Pride Inc. and organize OKC's annual Pride week, which has become the largest privately held event in Oklahoma and a regional pride destination for tens of thousands of people from Oklahoma and surrounding states.
