Welcome Convening Leaders!

Oklahoma City is excited to be a Networking Partner host city for PCMA’s 2021 Convening Leaders and we can’t think of a better way for you to experience first-hand the brand-new Oklahoma City Convention Center. By attending this in-person/hybrid event, you’ll get the best of PCMA’s educational programming, plus exclusive content and invaluable in-person connections.

As the meetings industry continues to pivot, we’ve gathered a robust group of perspectives and expertise for in-person educational sessions and networking. Our goal is for you to leave with an expanded toolkit of actionable takeaways, best practices and vendor contacts to successfully pull off safe in-person or hybrid events.

Oklahoma City reopened earlier than most peer cities and continues to not have restrictions on gathering sizes. This allows us to share our unique perspective on how we’ve safely hosted more than 100 large meetings and events that have attracted nearly 500,000 attendees in the past seven months.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Modern Frontier!

  • Keynote and lunch with Amy Downs, OKC Bombing Survivor, CEO, Ironman and Motivational Speaker – The Power of Hope: A Journey of Impossible Transformation – When a bomb imploded her building on April 19, 1995, Amy fell three stories and was buried alive for over six hours. In the aftermath of her trauma and loss, Amy enacted the power of hope to transform from victim to champion both personally and professionally. Amy reminds us that hope is a verb that we can enact to transform our lives and live all of our dreams.
  • Agility is the New Leadership Superpower with Danielle Ezell, Partner, The Mettise Group – This in-person session will explore what agility looks like in the workplace, how to encourage agile thinking, and common challenges to being a change agent.

The Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau team can arrange sneak peeks of the brand-new Omni Oklahoma City Hotel as well as individualized tours of other local sites of interest.
