    Explore Outdoor OKC

Get out on the water at RIVERSPORT Rapids & Adventures for whitewater rafting, kayaking and more! Explore Scissortail Park and bring the whole family for a socially distanced concert with Live from the Lawn! The weekend's musical festivities kick off July 3 with Okie All Stars featuring more than 10 local artists and performers. Then, on the Fourth of July, bring your blankets, lawn chairs and a picnic (consider carryout from a local spot!) for a live performance by Talk of the Town.

    Chow Down on BBQ

Oklahoma City is continuously making national lists for some of the country's best barbecue. Head over to Leo's, an OKC icon dishing hickory-smoked meats, homestyle sides and a strawberry banana cake you can't leave without trying. If you find yourself in the Western Avenue area, Iron Star is a must-eat, or check out Cornish Smokehouse in South OKC or Clark Crew BBQ in NW Oklahoma City.

    Make a Splash

Summer's hottest days are in full force in July – fortunately, OKC has you covered from water parks to lakes to splash pads. Dive in to super-soaking fun at Hurricane Harbor Oklahoma City, or splash around at the Myriad Botanical Gardens Thunder Fountain. You can find more places to beat the heat here!
