Wondering what to do with your spare time while you’re in Oklahoma City for a meeting? Spend your day exploring the Adventure District, filled with exciting attractions and museums!
What to Do
Start at the Science Museum. This attraction houses more than eight acres of hands-on science experiences with thousands of space, aviation and cultural artifacts in the mix.
In the same parking lot is the Oklahoma City Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Now through October 30, BrickLive is on display. This one-of-a-kind exhibit features endangered animal statues made with almost two million toy bricks! Visitors can also book a Wild Encounter and go behind the scenes with a caretaker to meet some of the zoo's residents.
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has an outdoor, interactive exhibit called Liichokoshkomo’, as well as events year round!
What to See
Come to Remington Park for the casino and stay for horse racing. Nothing matches the excitement of electronic casino games and quarter horse racing. Even if you're a new spectator, learn to wager and get in on the fun.
Check out USA Softball Hall of Fame, the nation’s No. 1 softball venue and only museum that catalogues the standout coaches, players and umpires in the game.
The Adventure District is also home to several museums, including the Oklahoma Firefighters Museum, 45th Infantry Museum, Oklahoma Railway Museum and The American Pigeon Museum & Library.
What to Taste
Bricktown Brewery and Henry Hudson's Pub, which is located inside Remington Park and open to all ages, offers a sit-down dining experience. Located within the zoo are several more options for quick and delicious bites.
