See Sanctuary Asia at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Gardens
Located in the southwest section of the Oklahoma City Zoo, Sanctuary Asia opened August 2018 and extends the Asian elephant herd’s existing habitat as well creates new habitats for red pandas, Indian rhinos, langurs, Komodo dragons, Tanuki (raccoon dog) and cassowary birds. The expansion also includes a two-story restaurant with a view into the elephant, rhino and Komodo dragon habitats plus a splash zone in the courtyard for children to experience during the warmer months.

Sample OKC's Western Heritage at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum is a trove of galleries and exhibits that showcase the American West. New in 2020 is Liichokoshkomo’, an outdoor learn-and-play area featuring more than 100,000 square feet of hands-on learning experiences for families, including replicas of an Intertribal Village and Western structures, activities and more.
In addition to its world-class art and interactive exhibits, this museum is also home to historical and pop culture artifacts, cowboy gear, firearms and a great gift shop.

Kids of all ages will love exploring eight acres of hands-on science experiences with thousands of space, aviation and cultural artifacts at Science Museum Oklahoma.
