West Village Restaurants in OKC

On the western edge of downtown Oklahoma City, the West Village is among the best dining districts in town, teeming with breweries, cocktail bars, lunch spots and show-stopping dinner destinations. From cider and beer to hand-pulled noodles and Italian-style steaks, West Village restaurants are as vibrant as they are distinct.

Breweries & Taprooms

Home to a concentration of breweries across all styles and settings, the West Village has emerged as OKC’s foremost district for beer connoisseurs.

Start at Stonecloud Brewing Co., one of the neighborhood’s beer pioneers, and sample a wide array of styles in a lofty space within the former Sunshine Laundry Cleaners building. Here, you’ll find a lineup of core beers, like Neon Sunshine Belgian Wit and Astrodog Hazy IPA, as well as seasonal options like Tortoise Head Imperial Stout and Dilly Goose pickle beer.

Follow the giant purple warehouse to Lively Beerworks, one of the most vibrant breweries in the city (in more ways than one). The sprawling, art-filled taproom is family- and dog-friendly, with a dynamic lineup of draft beers, like Irish Red Ale, Grapefruit IPA and Oktoberfest-inspired Fest Beer. Nearby, Angry Scotsman Brewing is an urban microbrewery with a huge patio and sweeping skyline views, where the beer lineup includes everything from Gateway to Helles Lager and Rusty Kiltpin Scottish ale.

Along Film Row, you’ll find Core4 Brewing, a funky garage-like space stocked with board games and vinyl records, where crowd-pleasing core beers include Soul Shine blonde ale and Oklahoma Sunset amber ale. Swing by for regular open mic nights and live music on the covered patio. On the other side of the Paramount Building, OK Cider Co. is OKC’s only cidery, offering beer-inspired ciders (i.e., made with beer yeasts and hops) in a bouquet of flavors, like Blackberry Radler and Apple Butter.

Lunch Hotspots

Elsewhere on Film Row, casual lunch spots span different cuisines and atmospheres.

Joey’s Pizzeria serves baked pasta, toasted subs and buttery thin-crust pizzas that are as comforting as the brick-lined dining room. What started as a popular food truck has evolved into Big Biang Theory, a restaurant rooted in thick, Chinese hand-pulled noodles paired with hearty meats like cumin-braised beef and spicy chicken curry. If you are looking for local inspiration, Sun Cattle Co. puts a tasty twist on the classic Oklahoma onion burger, where smashed patties are served up, along with Coney dogs and Western spaghetti, in a contemporary diner-style space.

Restaurants with Wow Factor

Come dinner, West Village restaurants really put on a show. In the case of The Jones Assembly, which regularly hosts concerts and festivals, that’s literally and figuratively. The massive restaurant, bar and entertainment venue serves eclectic dishes, like cacio e pepe wings and pot-pie croquettes, that are as stunning as the space. Tucked within the Fordson Hotel, Mary Eddy’s Italian Grill offers a chic setting to savor steaks, chops and handmade pasta.

Whether you’re grabbing a drink or enjoying fine dining, the West Village abounds as a destination for craft beer, craft cocktails and craft cuisine, with plenty of restaurants that belong to any must-eat list in OKC.
