Wheeler District

This burgeoning area of OKC is located on the south bank of the Oklahoma River just west of Western Ave. Its main attraction is the historic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel (purchased on eBay in 2008), but Wheeler Riverfront Plaza also offers hammocks, games, concessions and greenspace. Food trucks, a brewery, restaurants, a seasonal farmers market, cycling events and a summer music series have quickly helped make this urban neighborhood a happening hotspot.
