Halloween Activities: Trick or Treating, Haunted Houses & Pumpkin Decorating

Ghouls just wanna have fun! Oklahoma City is bursting with activities to celebrate the cooler temps and Halloween season.​

• Frontier City's Fright Fest: Sept. 26 - Oct. 31
  Get ready for the best Halloween event of the season, featuring family friendly shows and attractions during the day and thrilling rides and scary haunted houses at night.
   
• Haunt the Zoo: Oct. 10-31
  Along the trail, candy will be distributed, and you will be able to visit themed booths! Children can enjoy the wonders of the zoo and Halloween simultaneously.
   
• Fall Festival at Orr Family Farm: Sept. 19 - Nov. 14
  Cannon blasters, super slides, giant jumping pillows, tube rollers and gemstone mines are just a few of the unique October attractions offered by the local farm. They will host Trick Orr Treat on select nights, where children can dress in costume and experience trick-or-treating around the farm.  
   
• Myriad Gardens' Pumpkinville: Oct. 1-25
  Pumpkinville features homemade games, a pumpkin mosaic, pumpkin decorating, carousel rides and much more. This year’s theme, "Road to Route 66" pays tribute to the highway that helped define the American road trip and has deep roots in Oklahoma history. Guests will discover creative pumpkin murals depicting iconic Route 66 attractions.
   
• Brick-or-Treat: Oct. 25 
  Bring the whole family to Brick-or-Treat in Bricktown District. This free, family friendly Halloween event invites kids in costume to trick-or-treat at participating businesses throughout the district while enjoying spooky music, roaming characters, festive photo ops and sweet giveaways. 

New in OKC

• Oklahoma City is looking oh so pretty with several new art installations! Cloud Embrace, located in Bricktown, is a 24-foot-tall interactive public art installation that lights up day and night, creating a stunning photo spot inspired by Oklahoma skies. Kicks 66 is a towering 35-foot sculpture that celebrates the history of Route 66! This iconic piece, which is now the LARGEST boot in the world, is located in the east parking lot of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Light and Airy is an illuminated sculpture that uses playful pop art imagery to celebrate Oklahoma City hospitality and the joy of gathering together around food, located in Midtown.
   
• Oklahoma National Guard Museum's newly constructed museum is now open! The new space focuses on telling the entire story of the Oklahoma Air and Army National Guard, from pre-statehood to modern times.
   
• Mammoth Fieldhouse is a new multi-story entertainment complex planned to open this fall in the Half. The "hall of game" destination will bring mini golf, baseball, basketball and more sports all under one roof. The fieldhouse will also have a two-story bar and restaurant with other social games and community spaces.
   
• Northpark Pickleball is a major indoor and outdoor pickleball complex coming to The Shoppes at Northpark this fall. The $10 million venue features 12 total courts (6 indoor and 6 outdoor) alongside an on-site restaurant, patio and self-pour tap bar.

Make Spirits Bright
