Historic Capitol Hill

Three circles filled with Historic Capitol Hill District photos. First photo is of a woman holding a flag at the Fiestas de las Americas Festival, the center photo is a district icon of Historic Capitol Hill. The third photo is of a woman painting a mural.

This business district, which was established prior to Oklahoma statehood, offers a glimpse back in time with historic buildings and classic facades from the early 1900s. Located just south of downtown on SW 25th St. between Walker and Broadway, the area is also called Calle dos Cinco and is an enclave for the city’s Hispanic and Latino population. The district is home to dining, local shopping and the award-winning festival, Fiestas de las Americas. Several revitalization projects are underway, including construction of a new Festival Plaza for community and cultural celebrations.
