Pride Month in OKC
Each year, thousands make their way to Oklahoma City for annual celebrations of OKC's LGBTQ+ community in June. During Pride Month, OKC's calendar is packed with exciting, artistic and celebratory events, like PrideFest and Pride on 39th.
OKC PrideFest is quickly becoming a signature event in OKC. Held at Scissortail Park, PrideFest provides a platform for LGBTQ+ individuals to connect, celebrate and be visible in the Oklahoma City community. In 2023, PrideFest attracted a record-breaking attendance of over 25,000 people, both locally and regionally. The event featured an incredible lineup of local, national and international entertainers, drawing visitors from all over the state to come together in a safe and inclusive environment, solidifying OKC as a city open to all.
Pride on 39th Street, one of OKC’s biggest Pride events, began in 1988. In 2004, they became a non-profit organization known as OKC Pride Inc. and organize OKC's annual Pride week, which has become the largest privately held event in Oklahoma and a regional pride destination for tens of thousands of people from Oklahoma and surrounding states.
