Located less than 10 miles from the all-new Oklahoma City Convention Center, Will Rogers World Airport is expanding to meet the demand of its continued growth, while maintaining easy airport navigation.
Among other improvements, Will Rogers World Airport and award-winning airport concessionaire Paradies Lagardère have announced plans to ramp up the traveler experience by adding first-rate local dining and retail options throughout the airport. This project will deliver 17 new concepts by established local favorites and iconic national brands.
Opening this summer, a Tripadvisor retail store will transform the world’s largest travel website into an energetic one-stop-shop for travel essentials, while Vino Volo Craft will showcase its award-winning wine program and a new selection of inspired craft cocktails. Starbucks and Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steak Burgers are set to open in the airport this fall.
As travel resumes and the traveler demand increases, Will Rogers World Airport and participating partners will open additional retail and restaurant concepts from thriving local businesses in Oklahoma City.
Elemental Coffee, a locally-loved coffee shop and roaster in Midtown, is opening a new café concept and will be the hottest new place to caffeinate before or after a flight. For passengers looking for a quick and healthy meal option, Tropical Smoothie Café will offer wholesome food options and refreshing smoothies to travelers. As one of Oklahoma City’s popular date night spots for classic Italian cuisine, Osteria’s new restaurant and craft bar concept is sure to be a showstopper. Additionally, Hatch will open their third metro location, bringing next-level breakfast foods to Will Rogers World Airport.
On the retail side, the airport will welcome two local shops that are well established in OKC. If you’re looking for gifts that are sustainably sourced, Plenty Mercantile is the place to shop. From common household items to swanky OKC trinkets, Plenty Mercantile mindfully sources refined goods that are eco-friendly. Shoppers can also browse at Plenty Mercantile in Chisholm Creek or Automobile Alley. Tin Lizzie’s second location will offer crafted items from Oklahoma-owned boutiques, artisans and makers. Their flagship store is also located in the heart of Automobile Alley and provides a vast selection of unique items across every price point.
Due to the pandemic, the timeline to unveil the full program will be altered across different phases, depending on the demand of returning passengers. Each location will be assessed and executed responsibly and sustainably. Keep an eye on this page for the latest information and updates from Will Rogers World Airport.
