May is packed with fun events in OKC! Watch the Savannah Bananas dance play banana ball at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, May 16-18! There's lots to do if you're visiting over Memorial Day Weekend! Enjoy art from 100 nationally acclaimed visual artists, over 50 live performances and amazing food at the Paseo Arts Festival. Bring the whole family to the Chuck Wagon Festival at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum for butter making, bandana decorating, Western reenactments and more.
Root for the Home Teams
The Oklahoma City Thunder made it to the playoffs! Check out the Thunder's Playoff Central to keep updated on the latest info. Cheer on the OKC Baseball Club during a home game at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Collegiate sports are also headed to Oklahoma City in May! The USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium will be hosting the Big 12 Softball Championship May 8-11 and the NCAA Women's College World Series May 30 - June 7.
Get Outdoors
With summer quickly approaching, it's the perfect time to take advantage of Oklahoma City's exemplary outdoor recreation options! Take a cruise along the Oklahoma River. Hit the water at RIVERSPORT Adventures. Run or bike the trails at Lake Hefner. With a skating rink, paddle boats on the lake, soccer field, sports pavilion and more, you can make a day of it at OKC's urban park, Scissortail Park. Get your dogs out of the house to enjoy Bar K, featuring a bar, fast-casual dining for both owners and pets, and two dog parks; one inside and one outside.
