Whether you’re looking for an evening of frightening frivolity you can enjoy from the comfort of home or an in-person Halloween event like one you’ve never experienced, Science Museum Oklahoma has you covered with two new event offerings this October: “Cirque du SMO: A Ghoulish Virtual Sideshow” and “SMO 21: Secrets of SMO”.

“Cirque du SMO: A Ghoulish Virtual Sideshow”, hosted via Zoom on October 23, from 7-7:30 p.m., will be a live, adults-only comically macabre circus complete with feats of danger and delight.

View from the comfort of your own home and follow along while our cast of nearly-alive characters creates cocktails and disgustingly delicious delicacies, plays with explosives, and performs experiments they’ve never (successfully) done. The museum’s menagerie of performers will provide thrills, shrills, and chills during the enigmatic evening. Who knows what could happen?

Join the show and support SMO for just $10. For more information about Cirque du SMO or to purchase tickets, visit www.sciencemuseumok.org/cirque-du-smo.

“SMO 21: Secrets of SMO” is the event with over 60 years in the making. We have whispered of strange noises, odd happenings, and unusual sights in the museum—things we could not explain. On Halloween night, attendees will be taken on private, small group tours through the museum, starting at 9 p.m., going behind the scenes and hearing staff members’ personal stories. Guests will also be taken through collections, an area that has never been seen by the public.

Tickets go on sale to the general public October 9 for $75 and benefit the care of the museum’s collection and exhibits. In addition to the hour-long tour, tickets include two food and drink pairings carefully selected by our chef, plus a special decadent treat to take home.

SMO 21, the museum’s adults-only, after-hours program for ages 21 and up, is a chance for adults to explore SMO without children in tow.
