American Airlines launches new nonstop service from Oklahoma City to Miami International Airport (MIA) today.  Miami is an American Airlines gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America and provides customers with convenient connections to dozens of warm-weather destinations.

“This new service undoubtedly raises the level of service and options for our travelers,” says Mark Kranenburg, Airports Director.  “We truly appreciate American’s commitment to Oklahoma City.”

The new Miami service will operate daily utilizing the Embraer 175 (E-175) aircraft.  The aircraft has 12 first-class seats and 64 main cabin seats.  Other amenities the aircraft offers are no middle seats, large overhead bins, and wider seats and aisles.

Miami International becomes the eighth American hub served nonstop from Will Rogers World Airport.  Other cities served nonstop by American from WRWA include Dallas/Ft. Worth, Chicago, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Ronald Reagan Washington National.  The new service will bring the average number of daily departures by American to 21.
