Oklahoma City, OK — Kelly Ann Temple will be the featured artist at Studio Six Studio & Gallery for First Friday in March. The opening reception will take place March 6, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Her work will remain on view throughout March.

Temple is an Associate Professor of Jewelry and Metalsmithing at the University of Central Oklahoma. She earned her M.F.A. from San Diego State University’s prestigious Jewelry + Metals program. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is represented by Galerie Marzee in the Netherlands and the Baltimore Jewelry Center in Maryland.

Temple’s practice centers on wearable forms that reflect the quiet rhythms of daily life — the gestures we inherit, repeat, and eventually reshape. Rooted in process and material transformation, her work explores what is held, what lingers, and what gently falls away. Through the interplay of metal and color, she traces the tension between memory and motion.

“These gestures are an exploration of subconscious space as I process times past, grief, and anticipation, over and over,” Temple writes in her artist statement.

The exhibition invites viewers to engage closely with intimate, contemplative works that merge craft, memory, and movement — offering jewelry not only as adornment, but as a vessel for reflection.
