ExhibITion, amshot’s triannual art show highlighting local artists and benefiting the community, will feature the work of Roland Miguel at an opening on Thursday, Jan. 27 from 5pm-8pm.

ExhibITion: Water, Wind, and Other Wonders will take place at amshot, 428 Dean A. McGee Ave. in downtown Oklahoma City. The gallery is free to attend. For a $5 donation, guests 21 and over can enjoy light hors-d'oeuvres, wine, and local beer from the event’s beer sponsor, Oklahoma City-based brewery Lively Beerworks.

All ticket sales and 10% of art sales will benefit the Paseo Arts Association, a nonprofit that has worked since 1981 to develop the Paseo into the thriving arts district it is today.

Miguel is an Oklahoma visual artist working primarily in oils with a focus on representational art. He has been a guest artist on multiple occasions at Paseo Gallery One. His work won Best-In-Show in 2019 at the Paseo Art Association Members Show.

ExhibITion: Water, Wind, and Other Wonders is a collection of Roland’s waterscapes, landscapes, and figurative work.

“There is something about water and wind that is transcendent and deeply alluring to the inmost origins of our senses. The earth is and will always be foundational in the grounding of our being; however, the water and the wind speak to places within us that long for a freeness and weightlessness of spirit. They feed our hopes and dreams in ways that cannot be captured in words,” he says.

Local IT services and software development firm amshot created exhibITion in 2018 to serve its core values of empowering the community, living passionately, and creating, as well as to promote local artists, give back to the community, and enjoy the company of fellow art lovers.

Three times a year, amshot features an Oklahoma artist's work in its office, host an art exhibition and sale, invites a local brewery to participate in the event, and donates proceeds to a charitable organization.
