Oklahoma City, OK — As the NBA Playoffs energize Oklahoma City, Bigger Than Food Foundation is proud to launch a curated Apple Guide spotlighting the Top 25 Black-Owned Restaurants in the OKC Metro Area. This initiative aims to increase visibility and support for Black culinary entrepreneurs during one of the city's highest tourism seasons.
The interactive guide is now live on Apple Maps and provides real-time, automatically updated recommendations for fans and visitors seeking to intentionally support local, Black-owned businesses during their stay.
“We want to make it easy for visitors to eat intentionally, discover our city’s food culture, and help dollars stay in the community,” said Apollo Woods, Founder/Executive Director of Bigger Than Food Foundation and creator of the Apple Guide. “During the NBA Playoffs, we’re not just supporting our OKC Thunder—we’re championing equity, entrepreneurship, and culture.”
With more than 18,000 fans attending each OKC Thunder home game, the guide is positioned to create a significant economic impact by driving traffic and revenue directly to local Black-owned eateries.
