In January 2006, the Chesapeake Boathouse was opened as the first boathouse to be built on the newly rejuvenated Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City. It marked the beginning of what’s now known as the Boathouse District which has since grown to include more than 100 acres and a row of architecturally iconic boathouses and adventure attractions.

This milestone was celebrated this past weekend as part of “A Perfect Finish,” an annual fundraising event for the RIVERSPORT Junior Crew, which was hosted virtually from the Chesapeake Boathouse. The event raised over $30,000 to support youth rowing in Oklahoma City.
