What to Expect

Attendees can enjoy savory dishes and refreshing beverages from three premier Black-owned food trucks. Plus254 A Taste of Africa will serve authentic East African dishes; Worth Tha W8 BBQ will offer mouthwatering smoked meats; and Cool Cups will provide flavorful frozen desserts. Live sounds by DJ D. Chappell will create an energetic atmosphere, perfect for a lunch break.


Significance & Community Impact

Juneteenth Food Truck Friday is the only public Juneteenth celebration in Downtown Oklahoma City. This year’s event highlights the importance of supporting Black-owned small businesses and honoring the legacy of Juneteenth, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. By centering Black food and beverage entrepreneurs, the Bigger Than Food Foundation and Crowe Dunlevy reinforce their shared commitment to equitable economic development, cultural celebration, and community unity.
