New prehistoric adventure joins a season of expanded experiences, all included with museum admission
OKLAHOMA CITY, June 26, 2026 — Dinosaurs are making tracks to Science Museum Oklahoma this summer. Now open through Labor Day, Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep invites guests to step into the prehistoric world through lifelike animatronic dinosaurs, hands-on discoveries, and immersive experiences, all included with general admission.
The traveling exhibition arrives during one of the museum's biggest seasons of new experiences. Guests can also explore the recently opened Barbie™ You Can Be Anything: The Experience™, discover the enhanced Oceanarium, and experience the newly-reimagined Mighty Mouth exhibition, making this summer one of the best times to visit Science Museum Oklahoma.
"Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep gives our guests the opportunity to experience paleontology in a way that's active, engaging, and fun," said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. "Combined with everything else that's new across the museum this summer, it’s easy for families to spend days discovering things they haven't seen before."
Created in collaboration with paleontologist Thomas E. Williamson, Ph.D., Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep blends science with interactive exploration. Throughout the exhibition, guests encounter towering animatronic dinosaurs, examine detailed fossil replicas, and investigate how scientists uncover clues about Earth's prehistoric past.
Visitors can test their paleontology skills in a hands-on fossil dig, bring dinosaur artwork to life through a digital drawing experience, reshape ancient landscapes in an augmented reality sandpit, and travel through prehistoric oceans during a fully immersive 360-degree theater presentation.
Expedition Dinosaur: Into the Deep is open now through Labor Day and is included with general admission and membership. For tickets, museum hours, and additional information, visit sciencemuseumok.org.
