OKLAHOMA CITY – Feb. 27, 2024 – Dine out and fight hunger in Oklahoma March 5-10 during OKC Restaurant Week, presented by Bank of Oklahoma. The event features nearly 40 locally operated restaurants and breweries who will each donate a portion of sales to benefit the Regional Food Bank Oklahoma.
"Giving back to our community is core to who we are here at Bank of Oklahoma," said Greg Wheeler, Bank of Oklahoma market president of Oklahoma City. "As a company that is focused on supporting local each day, OKC Restaurant Week is the perfect combination to encourage our employees and community to support restaurant owners that are generous enough to give a portion of their proceeds to provide for Oklahomans that are experiencing food insecurity.”
OKC Restaurant Week 2024 features a James Beard award winning chef as well as several restaurants included in best new restaurant lists in national publications. Find a full list of participating restaurants and breweries at restaurantweekokc.com.
"We highly encourage the public to indulge in the vibrant restaurant and brewery culture in Oklahoma City," said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. "Not only will you be supporting our friends in the restaurant industry, but you’ll also help provide thousands of meals to our neighbors living with hunger in central and western Oklahoma.”
Oklahoma consistently ranks as one of the hungriest states in the nation. Proceeds from OKC Restaurant Week will help Oklahomans like Brenda, who shops for food for her family at a Regional Food Bank partner. The food she receives is able to help her stock her pantries for weeks.
“I struggle month to month to make sure we have plenty of food to feed everybody, and still be able to pay all my bills,” Brenda said. "I'm so thankful to have this option. It helps my family a lot."
OKC Restaurant Week is made possible thanks to CSAA Insurance Group, Lopez-Dorada Foods, Tinker Federal Credit Union and other generous sponsors.
