Food trucks, music, activities and community partners to activate Kerr Park
(Oklahoma City) – Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership and the Downtown Business Improvement District invite the community to celebrate Downtown OKC Day on Wednesday, June 3 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Kerr Park (102 Robert S. Kerr Ave.).
Downtown OKC Day is a celebration for everyone who works, lives, visits, or enjoys spending time downtown. With more residents, businesses, and visitors calling downtown home than ever before, the event is designed to bring the community together for a fun and welcoming lunchtime experience.
“Downtown OKC Day is a joyous time for us to come together as a downtown community -- employees and residents combine to celebrate the energy of our urban core,” said Jennifer Nakayama, President and CEO of Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership. “We are grateful to all that spend time downtown and this is a small thank you. "
Attendees can enjoy a festive, come-and-go lunch hour with food trucks, yard games, pop-up booths, and activities provided by various downtown not-for-profit organizations and services. Notable participants include Oklahoma Contemporary, the Downtown YMCA, and Visit OKC. Additional programming includes music from DJ L!PB!TE and live chalk art from Elisha Gallegos, provided in collaboration with Arts Council Oklahoma City’s Art Moves.
The event is free and open to downtown employees, residents, visitors, and community members. Guests are encouraged to grab lunch from a nearby restaurant, bring their own meal, or purchase food from one of the participating food trucks, including Big Biang Theory, Cousins Maine Lobster, Let’s Do Greek, Mob Thai’d, Organic Squeeze, Plus254 - Taste of Africa, Split Top Dogs, and Taco Empire.
Complimentary popsicles from Wondervan Pops and giveaway items will be available while supplies last, courtesy of Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership. Free bottled water will also be provided by Paycom Center while supplies last.
Attendees are encouraged to ride the OKC Streetcar to the event. Streetcar fares are currently free through July 5, 2026, as part of EMBARK’s fare-free pilot program. The “Business District” stop offers convenient access to the festivities.
