OKLAHOMA CITY — EMBARK is teaming up with community nonprofits and resource organizations to provide free vaccines and health services to the public. The public transit agency’s free community health fair will take place Thursday, Oct. 20, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the downtown Transit Center, 420 N.W. 5th St.
The Oklahoma City-County Health Department will be administering free influenza and monkeypox vaccines, as well as COVID-19 boosters during the event.
“Our free community health fair is a great opportunity to connect the public with Oklahoma City’s community resource agencies to promote health and wellness,” said Suzanne Wickenkamp, EMBARK’s Assistant Director of Administration. “We’re grateful to our community partners and employees who show up to make this event possible each year and connect residents to free and accessible services and screenings.”
In addition to vaccinations, attendees can get free dental screenings and dental care kits from Neighborhood Services Organization as well as information about food programs, mental health, counseling, parenting, and more.
This is EMBARK’s 11th community health fair, and the event is free and open to the public. Masks are not required. Attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. Plan your trip at embarkok.com.
